We finally found a near mint copy 
of this LP, original 1st pressing

in stere-ere-o so we ripped it 
to digital in our audio laboratory.

Although we absolutely loathe the song 'cuddly toy' which incidentally bonded a friendship

between the Monkees and Nilsson as the Monkees covered it to good effect for them,

the album is very unique and really stands out among many other 1967 efforts.

Some real singer-songwriter crafty type material here and a wide variance of

styles. I shall reiterate, as is all over the web, the Beatles were

very impressed with this LP, Derek Taylor buying up unsold boxes of the LP

to distribute among friends, artists, eventually taking on promotion for Nilsson.

As many know, whilst on topic of the Beatles, John Lennon became the two headed beast of drink
with Nilsson in the shadows of the early 70's.
I used to be under the impressiongkly this was his first LP, but noo..it's his 2nd.
Looking up details about that, the first LP (not suprisingly)
is not even listed on that all-musak website. Rate your music, ubiquitously
acronymed RYM, is probably the better
site to look at anyways, as it's commoner-people not associated with a record company
or monies, review based.
Kinda like alot of fabulous blogs out there.
